Dr. Guoxing Chen wins the "Award of Future Chemical Engineering Scholar (2023)"
During the 15th Global Chinese Chemical Engineering Symposium, which took place from August 5 to 9, 2023, in Hong Kong, Dr Guoxing Chen, research associate at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategies IWKS, achieved the “Award of Future Chemical Engineering Scholar (2023)“. As a recipient of this recognition, he was invited to deliver a keynote talk on the topic of "Plasma-based Technology for Energy Storage and Environmental Applications."
The Global Chinese Chemical Engineering Symposium (GCCES) serves as a prominent international platform for Chinese chemical engineers and scientists from around the world to come together, exchange ideas, and foster professional connections, with a strong focus on innovation and development. The inaugural GCCES session was convened in Great Falls, Canada, in 2009, and since then, it has been convened successfully for 14 consecutive years, rotating between venues in China and other countries.
The Future Chemical Engineering Scholar award stands as a testament to the accomplishments of junior Chinese faculty members specializing in the field of chemical engineering on a global scale. The evaluation process for this accolade involves both competition and peer review. Dr Chen's recognition as one of the three recipients from overseas highlights his exceptional contributions. In total, only eight Chinese chemical engineers received this distinguished award in 2023.
Congratulations, Dr Guoxing Chen, on this award!
