The Apprenticeship usually takes 3 years. However, it can be shortened to 2.5 years

The probationary period takes 3 months.

As an apprentice you are entitled to 30 days of vacation a year.

Employees aged 18 and over have a rest break of 30 minutes with a working time of 6-9 hours. Employees under 18 are not allowed to work more than 8 hours a day.

Fraunhofer promotes the professional competence of its employees, which is why the range of continuing education courses offered by Fraunhofer internally is very large.

We have a youth and trainee representation (JAV). The JAV represents the interests of young people and trainees and stands up for them. In addition, the JAV monitors compliance with laws such as the Youth Employment Protection Act and the collective agreement.

Trainees earn € 1,218.26 in the first year, € 1,268.20 in the second and € 1,314.02 in the third.
