Dr. Steffen Hasenzahl

Dr. Steffen Hasenzahl is an internationally experienced executive with a passion for people, business and science. He has in-depth experience in general business management, product management, marketing, applied technology and research and development.

After studying chemistry at the Universities of Stuttgart and Cincinnati, USA, and completing his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart, Dr. Steffen Hasenzahl joined the research and application technology department for chemical catalysts and zeolites at the former Degussa AG (now Evonik) in 1995. After moving to Evonik's Silica Business Line, his career included heading an application technology working group, various management roles in marketing and product management and, from 2013, heading the Specialty Oxides Product Line. In 2016, Steffen Hasenzahl was then appointed head of the global Catalysts Business Line before taking over as head of Creavis, Evonik's strategic innovation unit and business incubator, within Evonik's newly established Research, Development & Innovation unit in 2020.
