About Prof. Dr. Christoph Helbig

Christoph Helbig is Professor of Ecological Resource Technology at the University of Bayreuth, Germany, since 2022. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Augsburg, Germany. In 2019, he was a postdoctoral visiting researcher at the Graduate School of Economics of Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. His research interests are focused on sustainable global material cycles from mining to recycling using methods of Industrial Ecology, specifically Material Flow Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment, and Raw Material Criticality Assessment.
