K - The world's No. 1 trade fair for plastics and rubber: The most important topics at this year's K trade fair include the circular economy, digitalisation and climate protection.

The Fraunhofer IWKS is dedicated to the development of new recycling technologies and substitutes for scarce raw and valuable materials. In addition, resource strategy studies are carried out in order to be able to evaluate the availability of raw materials in the overall process of extraction, use and subsequent use. To this end, innovative separation, sorting, processing and substitution options are being researched together with industrial partners. The research focuses on the areas of digitalisation of resources and circular economy.
