MatFo 2022

Following the motto "From Material to Innovation: Digital, Neutral, Vital", the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)  organises the conference "MatFo2022" on 14th and 15th November 2022. This year, the actors in materials research will meet digitally. The conference will focus on success stories from the funding areas of digitalization, sustainability and biologization and will discuss future challenges.

The participants can expect top-class impulses and specialist lectures as well as interactive formats for exchange with leading personalities from research, business and politics. They will learn more about digital tools and standards in materials research, current product and process innovations, material innovations in important fields of application such as energy, transport, medicine and construction, as well as new initiatives for the sustainable and efficient use of resources.

Prof. Dr. Anke Weidenkaff, Director of Fraunhofer IWKS, will enrich the event with a lecture on circular materials for the "Zero Pollution" and "Essential Use" - Circular Economy. The lecture gives impulses on the topics of sustainability and circular economy as well as application-oriented basic research in the field of materials research.
